Kria™ SOMs from AMD are a productive and cost effective centerpiece for many demanding applications. Kria SOMs deal with many of the hardware challenges of designing with leading edge SOCs, allowing you to focus on the custom features of your product.
In this webinar:
John McCaskill of Faster Technology, will walk through the design process of using them, starting with Vivado™ to configure and customize the SOC, then Vitis™ for embedded software application development, followed by an overview of the design of a host carrier card.
The webinar is intended for anyone who is new to the AMD Kria SOMs or who wishes to start using them in their products.
Webinar topics include:
- Design entry and processor system configuration in Vivado.
- Using the exported hardware definition from Vivado to create a platform project in Vitis followed by creating multiple applications for that platform.
- Details about designing a custom carrier card for the Kria SOMs such as:
- The minimal power supply and control signal requirements.
- Flexible configuration image storage options.
- Signal integrity and PCB layout requirements.
