September 2001|Press release
Doulos have signalled the expansion of their VHDL, Verilog and SystemC training portfolio, with the announcement of a new design environment course.
Essential Digital Design Techniques is a fast track, intensive course designed to bridge the gap between textbook and real world digital design. Capturing months of on-the-job practical experience in just 2-days, Digital Design Techniques is the natural pre-cursor to VHDL or Verilog training, and the essential project induction.
"This course is all about productivity; designer productivity depends on good design practice which can take new engineers months to acquire" comments Doulos Business Manager, Rob Hurley. "This course enables engineers to learn how to design well right from the start. It's essentially a 'project simulator' allowing them to practise some of the essential techniques before being let loose on the real thing.
The course is suitable for any engineer moving into digital design; recent graduates, those with limited design experience (particularly with respect to FPGAs and ASICs), or engineers from other disciplines such as test, analog design or software.
Digital Design Techniques is available for onsite course delivery from mid October, with the first UK public course running 1-2 November. The launch includes a special 'package price', combining attendance with either Comprehensive VHDL or Verilog, to reduce the cost of essential project training.
